Maureen and Caroline came to stay with us in America we've been doing lots of hiking on beaches and in forests we've been definitely having fun.

Easter

Back at school now but the Easter break was good - we had an egg hunt in the garden - and Ella got this cake! We are coming back to the UK for 3 weeks on Wednesday so we are packing again and thinking about flights.

Carlotta,Lois,James and Rachel visit

Rachel,James,Carlotta and Lois ,are all in America with us. We have done lots of things we have been to the boardwalk and went on lots of rides and got ice cream. We have also been to the beach .
Today we are going to the movies to watch "Monsters vs Aliens"

kayaking

we went kayaking today we had lots of fun we saw sea otters,sea lions, seals, pelicans, and lots more wild life.
we went to a place called elkhorn slough.
we had a triple kayak.I (ella) sat in the front.

Visitors

Our first visitors were here for the week. They arrived to a storm but we had a few days of good weather during the second half of the week. We walked in the woods behind the campus, spent a bit of time walking on the beach - the best two things were a trip to the Big Basin national park in the Santa Cruz mountains - and a day in San Francisco before returning to the airport.

School Projects

My school in Brighton is learning about the World War II and my class went on a trip to learn about evacuation.

In America we are learning about the gold rush and we are going on a camping trip to the Columbia river town

and will be panning for gold. We are also doing a play about the gold rush and i am one of the merchants in it. The play has 10 songs in it - my favourite is called We're Merchants!

More lions and slugs in the redwoods

Out walking in the woods behind the campus. Looking for Mountain Lions and Banana Slugs - we have seen a Banana slug - but only seen the warnings about the lions.

After I went to Zoes house she came to my house we made a den ate lemon and poppie seed cup cakes(that our really nice nabour brout round) and made friendship bracelets.

I have been at school a week. On friday I played at Zoe's house. She has a big big trampoline a swing and a trolley we had lots of fun, threw lemons over the roof, she has really cute cat a ginni pig. She has a sister called Jasmine.

I picked some lemons we might make lemon curd (Jenny said). Zoe has oranges growing in her garden, mandarins and lemons and pineapple guaveurs and cabbage and lettuce and carrots.

Today I had friends round for dinner. 2 kids. 2 grownups. We had pizza and salad then ICE CREAM! The friends were called Mikaela, Elisha, Karen and Fern. After dinner ,we hung out in my house

Today is the 5th of January my first day of American school. I made 3 friends Zoe,Veronica and Isabelle. Zoe lives at the end of my road. they've all been really nice showing me around and stuff.my teacher is called bronwin

Seabright Beach

Seabright beach is at the end of our road - it is very beautiful - you can see the mountains across the sea because it is a bay. We saw sandpipers, seagulls and pelicans this evening - just before the sun set - Ella drew a turtle in the sand and Jenny picked up a crab that the birds were eating - and then returned it.
